How to add your commute?

Suppose you live in Vista and you take "78-W & 5-S" for your morning commute on some days and "78-E & 15-S" on some other days. This tutorial will guide you how to add your commutes for this scenario.

1. How to add your morning commute?
  • Select "Morning Commute" for commute.
  • Select "78-W" for Freeway.
  • Select the onramp on which you enter 78-W. If your onramp is not listed, please select the closest available one.
  • Select "I-5 South" as the off-ramp.
  • Click on "Submit".
  • Next, you have to repeat these steps for I-5.
  • Select "Morning Commute" for commute.
  • Select "5-S" for Freeway.
  • Select C-78, Escondido, Vista Way as your on-ramp.
  • Select the offramp where you exit 5-S. If your offramp is not listed, please select the closest available one.
  • Click on "Submit".
  • This completes your morning commute.
Now suppose, depending on traffic conditions you take "78-E & 15-S" on some other days for your morning commute. Section 2 below will guide you how to add your alternate commute for this scenario. It is not-necessary that you need to add an alternate commute.

2. How to add an alternate morning commute?
  • Select "Alternate Morning Commute" for commute.
  • Repeat the steps outlined in (1) above for 78-E and 15-S.
  • This will add your alternate morning commute.
3. How to add your evening commute?
  • From the "Commute time" menu, select Evening Commute. Then, follow the steps as outlined in (1) and (2) above.
4. Add (866) 500-0977 to the speed dial of your cell phone.
Call (866) 500-0977 from the cell phone you registered on this web site. Your custom profile is linked to that number, it will not work otherwise. If you call between midnight and noon, the system will play the traffic for your morning & alternate morning commute, otherwise it will play the traffic for your evening & alternate evening commute. The system will inform you of regions of the freeway where traffic is flowing less than 40 mph.
